Casual Relief Teacher – Position Overview

Casual Relief Teachers provide high quality learning continuity across Foundation to Year 6, bringing flexibility, strong classroom practice and a positive presence to our community.

What You’ll Do

- Deliver prepared lessons across Prep– Year 6, or adapt teaching and learning as needed
- Support student learning and maintain calm, positive classroom environments
- Follow school routines and uphold child safe practices
- Collaborate with staff and contribute to our caring school culture
- Provide care, supervision and support aligned with our Catholic ethos (all faith backgrounds welcome)

What We’re Looking For

- Current VIT registration
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Adaptability across year levels and subjects
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practice

- To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
- Ensure the delivery of curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;
- A collegial and collaborative approach to learning and teaching.

Key Selection Criteria - insert as listed in the Relevant Role Description (See Examples below)

- Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
- A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
- Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
- Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
- Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
