Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role is suited to an early-career accounting professional who wants broad exposure to month-end processes, statutory compliance and operational finance tasks in a supportive team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Financial Accountant with monthly reconciliations, journal preparation and review, ensuring work is accurate, complete and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
- Conducting financial reports in accordance with timelines and policies, providing analysis to stakeholders.
- Assisting in the preparation of BAS, FBT return, Income tax schedules and other statutory requirements.
- Management of fixed assets, including disposals and additions.
- Assist with company insurance claims,
including preparing supporting information and liaising with relevant stakeholders as required.
- Assisting with stocktakes.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to work confidently with spreadsheets and financial data.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholders.
