About the Opportunity
This is a rare chance to join the kitchen team of one of Melbourne’s most exciting newly opened hospitality venues, Flores.
This role plays a key part in the ongoing execution and evolution of our menu at Flores. Working closely with our Head Chef and broader leadership team, you'll deliver consistent quality across every service while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills.
You’llbring professionalism,passionand a genuine love for great food, helping create a kitchen culture built on respect,creativityand excellence. Your work will help shape the culinary identity that sets The Angel of Malvern apart.

WhatYou’llDo
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard
- Run and/or support a section confidently during service
- Assist with prep, menu execution and service flow
- Maintain exceptional hygiene, cleanliness and food safety practices
- Support stock rotation, deliveries and storage procedures
- Ensure smooth service through strong organisation and communication
- Assist with guiding junior kitchen staff when required
- Collaborate closely with the whole team to deliver consistent, memorable guest experiences
- Contribute to a positive, motivated and respectful kitchen setting
About You
You’redriven, reliable and keen to be part of a professional kitchen. You take pride in quality,consistencyand teamwork.You’llalso bring:
- 2+ years experience in a commercial kitchen
- Strong knife skills and solid cooking fundamentals
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- A calm, steady approach under pressure
- A willingness to learn, develop and support the wider team
- An understanding of food safety standards (Food Handler / Food Safety Supervisor highly regarded)
- Availability across nights,weekendsand rotating rosters
