Join South West Healthcare as an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar in 2027 and gain comprehensive experience in a supportive rural health setting. This 12-month role offers hands‑on exposure across the full scope of obstetrics and gynaecology, including birthing suite management, operative procedures and outpatient clinics, all aligned with RANZCOG training requirements. Working closely with experienced specialists and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll develop your clinical skills while contributing to high‑quality patient care in a welcoming regional community.

About the role

Applications are sought from motivated Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrars to join South West Healthcare for the 2027 clinical year.

The 12-month O & G Registrar position provides broad Obstetrics and Gynaecology experience in a rural setting, developed in line with RANZCOG training requirements. This includes Birthing Suite supervision and management, operative experience covering open, vaginal and advanced laparoscopy and clinic experience encompassing all aspects of most subspecialty areas, colposcopy and ultrasound.

The successful candidate will closely liaise with the Specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, RANZCOG trainees, GP Registrars and local GPs.

What you bring

- Holds a current Registration Certificate of the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
- Has sufficient previous general clinical experience to support the requirements associated with RANZCOG training.
- Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical knowledge and skills.
- Is committed to providing safe, high quality patient care.
- Is committed to working in an interdisciplinary team including seeking advice when necessary.
- Has a commitment to ongoing learning and self-development.
