About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Machine Operatorto join our production team. You will operate stone processing machinery tocut, shape, drill and polish natural, engineered and porcelain/ultra-compactstone.

Working from shop drawings and work orders, you will ensurework is completed safely, accurately and efficiently while maintaining qualityand production requirements.

About You

- Takes pride in achieving a high-quality finish
- Has strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- Pays close attention to detail, shop drawings, measurements, and machinery tolerances
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with shop foremen, stonemasons, and factory staff
- Remains reliable, calm, and solutions-focused under tight production schedules
- Takes genuine ownership of machinery care, material wastage, and factory safety
- Understands the importance of safety, cleanliness and presentation

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and handle stone materials safely
- Comfortable working on construction sites
- Able to always wear required PPE

What you will do

- Operates CNC machines, bridge saws, edge polishers,



waterjet and other processing equipment
- Setup and operate machinery according to drawings, specifications and productionrequirements
- Safelyload, position and secure stone for processing
- Performcutting, drilling, profiling, polishing and other machine processes
- Monitormachine operation and make basic adjustments where required
- Inspectfinished pieces for quality, accuracy and defects
- Followshop drawings, work orders and production instructions
- Meetproduction targets and deadlines while maintaining quality
- Minimisematerial wastage through efficient machine operation
- Performroutine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery
- Reportmachine faults, damaged materials and production issues promptly
- Workcollaboratively with stonemasons, apprentices and other production staff
- Maintaina clean, organised and safe work area

What we need

- Proven experience in in machine operations, manufacturing or a similar environment
- Experiencein stone processing or fabrication is preferred
- Abilityto read and understand shop drawings and work orders
- Strongattention to detail and accuracy
- Goodmechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- Abilityto work efficiently and meet production deadlines




- Robust commitment to safety and site requirements
- Physicallycapable of safely handling stone and working around machinery
- White Card holder

Nice to have

- Experienceoperating CNC, bridge saw, waterjet or polishing machinery
- Experienceworking with natural stone, engineered stone and porcelain/ultra-compactmaterials
- CNCCAD/CAMexperience
- RelevantCNC, engineering, manufacturing or machine-operation qualification
- Forklift,crane or suction equipment experience/certification
- Experienceproviding guidance or support to apprentices and labourers
