The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Product Assembly/Heavy Engineering All-Rounder to join a growing manufacturing operation based in Wacol, Brisbane.

This is a hands-on role assembling and preparing high-quality earthmoving attachments used across the construction, demolition, quarrying and mining industries.
n
We're looking for someone who is mechanically minded, can read engineering drawings, has welding and fabrication experience, and takes pride in producing quality work. Most importantly, you'll be an all-rounder who can think for themselves, solve problems and get the job done.

About the Role
n
You will be responsible for taking fabricated components through to a completed, quality product.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Assemble components into completed earthmoving attachments
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
n
- Prepare components ready for welding
n
- Fabricate profile components using MIG welding
n
- Basic hydraulic assembly and installation
n
- Prepare, prime and paint fabricated components
n
- Complete quality checks and QA documentation
n
- Ensure products meet required specifications and tolerances
n
- Work to production schedules and achieve KPIs
n
- Assist with stock control, labelling and monthly stocktakes
n
- Operate a forklift to move heavy packages and materials
n
- Pack and prepare completed products for dispatch
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
n

What We're Looking
n
For The ideal candidate will have:
n
n
- Previous experience in a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment
n
- Strong mechanical assembly skills
n
- Welding/fabrication experience, particularly MIG
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Basic understanding of hydraulics
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
n
- Ability to work to close tolerances and production deadlines
n
- A strong work ethic and "get it done" attitude
n
- Forklift experience/licence highly regarded
n
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
n
