We are partnering with a highly regarded and purpose-driven organisation to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Leadership Team. This is a broad and influential leadership role, combining finance, technology, risk, strategy and organisational transformation.
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will play a key role in shaping the organisation's future direction while ensuring strong financial, operational and governance foundations.
The organisation operates in a complex and evolving sector, working closely with government, regulators and a broad range of industry stakeholders. It is a high-performing environment where the work has a genuine impact on the community.
Position
The CFO will be responsible for:
- Leading the Finance function, including financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
- Partnering with the CEO, Executive Team and Board to provide clear commercial and strategic advice.
- Developing and implementing corporate strategy, business plans and organisational frameworks.
- Leading risk management and maintaining a strong governance and risk framework.
- Overseeing technology and identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency.
- Driving business transformation and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Preparing high-quality Board papers, analysis and recommendations.
- Leading and developing a capable, high-performing team.
Profile
You will be a CA/CPA qualified finance leader with robust technical capability and commercial judgement. You will have demonstrated experience across finance leadership, strategy, risk and business transformation.
Importantly, you will be more than a traditional CFO. You will be a hands-on, technology-savvy leader who can move comfortably between the detail and the bigger picture.
You will bring:
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience developing and executing strategy and business plans.
- Strong risk, governance and Board reporting capability.
- Experience leading technology, systems improvement or transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The confidence and gravitas to influence at Board and Executive level.
