- Handle matters in the Casualty and General Insurance practice
- Work on insurance claims and issues for international and local insurers and corporates
- Gain exposure to complex insurance matters and clients
- Collaborate with lawyers and partners throughout Clyde & Co’s international network
- Participate in regular cross-office interaction regarding management of client files
- Build client relationships and develop understanding of clients’ business needs with partner support
- For more senior lawyers, lead and delegate within the team
- Foster a positive team environment

Requirements

- Experience working in private practice
- Essential experience in litigation, public/product liability and/or general insurance/coverage claims
- Experience in civil claims related to abuse, including historic or institutional abuse-related matters may be relevant
- Solid, consistent performance record throughout career in the relevant areas of law
- Solid general insurance background gained from a top tier private practice environment in Australia or overseas
- Precise, clear drafting skills
- Strong academics
- Self-driven, 'can do' approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities and meet deliverables to a very high standard
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, and ability to work independently




- Commercial awareness and confidence building rapport with clients and understanding their business needs
- Ability for more senior lawyers to lead and delegate
- Ability to foster a positive team environment
