Job Description

Yaandina Community Services is seeking a Personal Care Worker to join our aged care team on a permanent basis. In this role, you'll deliver person-centred care and lifestyle support to residents, working as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to promoting dignity, independence, and cultural connection. You'll support residents with daily living activities, encourage meaningful engagement with family and community, and help create a safe, respectful, and homelike environment where residents can thrive.

- Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
n
- Support residents' emotional, social, spiritual, and cultural wellbeing through meaningful engagement and connection to Country
n
- Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals, and families to deliver high-quality care in line with Aged Care Quality Standards

Preferred Requirements

n

n
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support
n
- Current NDIS Clearance
n




- Demonstrated experience working in an aged care facility or similar care setting
n
- Sound understanding of protected manual handling, infection prevention and control, and workplace health and safety practices
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with residents, families, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

n

n
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability Support, or Individual Support (or equivalent)
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
n
- Experience in culturally responsive care practice or demonstrated commitment to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
n
