About the role

They are looking for an accountant to work alongside their existing accountant and directors, sharing the client accounting workload while also supporting the internal finance operations of the wider group. It is a genuine ground-floor opportunity to grow with a business that is scaling quickly, in a business where the advice, lending and accounting teams work closely together.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing individual and small business tax returns, and running client tax return meetings
- Supporting client bookkeeping, reconciliations, BAS, GST and general compliance work
- Preparing financial reports, management reporting, budgets and forecasts
- Contributing to the internal finance operations of the group, including reporting,



accounts payable and receivable, and record keeping
- Proactive tax planning that helps clients look ahead, not just report after the fact
- Helping improve templates, systems and processes as the practice grows

What you'll bring

- Accounting experience in public practice or skilled services
- Confidence talking to clients and explaining things simply
- Comfort running individual tax return meetings, or the drive to be trained up to that point
- Strong attention to detail, good organisation and a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it
