About the Role

n

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced and organised Retail Store Manager to take full responsibility for a busy retail food store operated by AMPH Australia Pty Ltd, trading as Cheesesteak Factory Lawson. Reporting to the owner, you will run the store as your own: determining the product mix and stock levels, setting service standards, managing purchasing and pricing, controlling the store's budget, and leading and developing a team of approximately 10 to 15 people. You will also be responsible for maintaining the store's high standards of stock control, food safety, presentation and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Organise and control the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, store security and alarm access, and overall store presentation.
n
- Determine the product mix, stock levels and service standards for the store.
n
- Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing policies for the store, and set and review retail pricing.
n
- Promote and advertise the store's goods and services, including promotions,



in-store merchandising and local area marketing.
n
- Sell goods and services to customers and advise them on product selection and use, and resolve customer enquiries and complaints to maintain a high standard of service.
n
- Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions, including daily sales, stocktakes, till floats, end-of-day cash reconciliation and banking.
n
- Undertake budgeting for the store and prepare financial summaries, monitoring cost of goods sold, labour costs and operating expenses against budget.
n
- Control the selection, training and supervision of staff, directing and coordinating a team of approximately 10 to 15 employees rostered across shifts, allocating duties, preparing and adjusting rosters and managing performance.

- Coordinate ordering, replenishment and receipt of deliveries, and oversee stock rotation and wastage control to maintain product availability and freshness.
n
- Oversee food preparation, presentation and service standards to ensure consistency, quality and compliance with brand specifications.
n
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, food safety requirements,



and store policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications Required

n

n
- An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Business, Retail Management or a related field. At least three years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a formal qualification.
n
- A minimum of two years' experience in a retail management or store management role, preferably in a quick service, fast food or retail food environment.
n
- Demonstrated experience controlling the selection, training and supervision of staff, and preparing and adjusting rosters.
n
- Strong working knowledge of stock control, purchasing, pricing, merchandising, cash handling and budgeting.
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer enquiries and complaints.
n
- Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety obligations, food safety requirements and relevant Australian employment legislation.
n
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail food environment.
n
- A current NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or the willingness to obtain one, is desirable.
