MaintainTechnology is sourcing an experienced finance functionalspecialist for a major Australian public-sector ERP andfinance modernisation program. The program is retiringlegacy systems and consolidating finance capability ontoa modern enterprise platform. This role providesindependent, evidence-based finance input during thediscovery and planning phase supporting systemselection, current-state assessment, and the design ofoptions for a consolidated future-state financearchitecture.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES Discovery & Current-State

- Facilitate finance discovery workshops with stakeholders
- Assess existingfinance systems, processes and pain points
- Documentcurrent-state and capability gaps
- Produce adiscovery report and high-level architecture design
- Develop andpresent evidence-based solution options
- Align optionswith the enterprise finance architecture
- Supporttechnology (product) selection with finance input
- Support systemsintegrator (SI) selection and evaluation
- Contributefinance requirements to procurement activities
- Core finance
- Loan management
- Expense management
- Assist withroadmap and consolidation planning
- Advise onsequencing within the broader program
- Help avoidinvestment in systems soon to be replaced

THE ROLE





The FinanceSystems Specialist works alongside the program team to assistwith technology selection and systems integrator (SI) selection, assess existing finance systems, and shape discovery andplanning across core finance, loan management and expensemanagement. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused:facilitating workshops, producing a discovery report andhigh-level architecture design, and presenting solution optionsfor consolidation with the departmental enterprise financearchitecture.

Best suited to amid-experience finance functional consultant who can operateindependently, translate business needs into clear systemrequirements, and give pragmatic, well-evidenced advice duringa fast-moving discovery phase.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Required

- Finance systems/ ERP functional experience (core finance)
- Discovery,current-state assessment and requirements gathering
- Solution optionsanalysis and high-level solution design
- Exposure totechnology selection and SI / vendor selection
- Strong workshopfacilitation and clear documentation
- Melbourne-based and able to work minimum 3 days/week in office

Desirable
