Female Community Services Trainer & Assessor – Tiwi Islands, NT

Location: Tiwi Islands, Northern Territory

Employment: Full-time

Salary: $90,000–$95,000 + superannuation

Accommodation: Provided

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Female Community Services Trainer & Assessor to join our team on the beautiful Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory.

This is an excellent chance for an experienced trainer who is passionate about vocational education, community services and supporting learners in a remote Aboriginal community.

You will deliver engaging, culturally appropriate training and assessment while supporting students to successfully complete their Community Services qualifications and develop skills for employment.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver and assess Community Services qualifications.
- Facilitate engaging classroom, practical and workplace-based learning.
- Provide individual mentoring and support to students.
- Develop and maintain quality training and assessment resources.
- Conduct workplace visits and assessments.
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
- Ensure training and assessment meets RTO compliance requirements.
- Build positive relationships with students, employers and community stakeholders.
- Work respectfully within the Tiwi Islands community and local cultural environment.

About You

- A current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.




- A relevant Community Services qualification (Certificate IV, Diploma or higher).
- Current industry experience in community services, disability, mental health, family support, youth work, aged care or a related field.
- Experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training.
- Strong communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- A current driver’s licence.
- The ability to obtain relevant police and working-with-children clearances.
- Previous experience working in remote communities and/or with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners will be highly regarded.
