Mechanical Fitter | Site & Workshop | Heavy Industrial

RSGx Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a full time, ongoing basis. This is an Adelaide-based position with approximately 30% workshop and 70% client site work, supporting projects across the Resources, Oil & Gas, Energy and Industrial Infrastructure sectors.

Minimum requirements

n

n
- Australian Trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitter, Metal Fitter, Motor Mechanic or Fitter & Turner)
n
- Ability to read technical and engineering drawings
n
- Basic computer skills
n
- Basic welding and fabrication skills
n
- Must have - White card, Valid drivers licence
n




- Desirable - Working at heights, First aid, Confined spaces, Dogman, Forklift
n
- Willingness to travel in SA and interstate on short notice, as and when required
n

Key responsibilities

n

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for a range of fitting, mechanical maintenance and installation activities across workshop and client site environments.

n

n
- Working in industrial environments, including acid and lead processing plants
n
- Mechanical fitting, assembly, installation and maintenance
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
n
- Installing and maintaining plant, machinery, pipework and mechanical equipment
n
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and breakdowns
n
- Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance
n
- Using precision measuring equipment
n
- Assisting with basic welding and fabrication activities
n
- Supporting other trades and site teams as required
n
