Forensicare (Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health) is Victoria's specialist provider of forensic
n
mental health services. We deliver recovery-focused programs that support consumers living with serious mental illness or problematic behaviours who are connected to, or at risk of contact with, the justice system, across a variety of settings including community-based services, inpatient units, and secure environments throughout Victoria.

About the Role
n
As the Spiritual Care Coordinator, you will design and deliver a comprehensive pastoral and spiritual care program supporting patients at Thomas Embling Hospital. You'll help individuals explore meaning, purpose, hope, and connection during their recovery, working within a multi-faith, multicultural framework that honours both sacred and secular perspectives.

Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to patient care planning and promote healing through inclusive, respectful spiritual care practices.
n
Key Responsibilities
n

- Deliver high-quality spiritual care through assessment, counselling, and intervention.
n
- Coordinate access to spiritual care providers and resources across diverse faiths and beliefs.
n
- Support patient recovery by collaborating with clinical teams and contributing to care plans.
n
- Facilitate worship, rituals,
and spiritual practices aligned with individual needs.
n
- Build trusted relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
n
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care
n
- Participate in safety planning and promote a safe, therapeutic environment
n
- Represent Forensicare in external forums and maintain professional networks
n

About You
n
You are a compassionate and culturally aware professional with a robust commitment to recovery-oriented care. You bring:

- Experience delivering spiritual care across diverse cultural and faith backgrounds.
n
- A commitment to trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
n
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in complex clinical settings.
n
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Eligibility for Certified Membership with Spiritual Care Australia (SCA)
n
- A passion for supporting wellbeing, inclusion, and holistic care
n
- Influenza and Immunisation Evidence
n
- This position is subject to a Police Check
n
