Additional Information
- These roles are Permanent, Part‑time, 50hrs/fortnight
- Applications close Friday 18 September 2026.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts.
- Shift times start from 7:00am and the latest closing time is 9:30pm.
- You have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As a Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
As a Sales Co-worker you are or have:
- Passionate about learning and sharing your knowledge of the IKEA range with customers.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on retail environment.
- Customer‑focused and driven to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
- Friendly, approachable, and enjoy connecting with people.
- An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self‑motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs.
- A “Togetherness” mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range and tools.
- A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
