- Lead strategic data security initiatives to enhance organisational protection across systems and platforms.

- Build stakeholder relationships across the business, as data comes from many sources

- Work with a vendor to support the implementation of a a new tool

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. Hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office, which is inner-city Melbourne.
n
The Delivery Lead will oversee the end-to-end delivery of critical data protection projects within a complex healthcare environment. This role involves coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure initiatives align with business objectives and compliance standards.
n
The lead will facilitate stakeholder engagement across business units, privacy, and risk teams, ensuring clarity and alignment. This is a current role and essentially it's a stand-alone role to some extent, as they are standing up a data practice, so you do need to be self-motivated and directed. The focus is primarily on data clean-up - what should be retained / archived / deleted and who should have access.

Responsibilities include:
n

- Manage delivery planning, scope, risks, dependencies, and schedules for multiple concurrent cyber security projects.
n
- Lead governance processes, track delivery progress, and prepare executive status updates.
n
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure successful implementation of security controls.
n
- Drive remediation of data exposure risks and oversee data governance and classification improvements.
n
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to translate technical cyber concepts into business language.

Skills & Experience
n
n
- Proven experience delivering complex technology projects, with demonstrated experience with data & data security such as DLP, DSPM, Information Protection, Data Governance and Identity & Access Management
n
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
n
- Experience with DSPM, DLP, data governance, or security operations tools.
n
- Knowledge of security platforms like Microsoft Purview, Azure Security, or Netskope desirable.
n
- Familiarity with privacy regulations, risk management, and project methodologies.
n
- Ability to balance security needs with operational priorities in a dynamic environment
n
- Tertiary Degree in IT or other relevant discipline is advantageous
n
- Industry Certifications, where applicable, may be beneficial
n
