About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and suitably qualified Trainer & Assessor – Individual Support & Community Services to join our growing Registered Training Organisation in Hobart.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional who is passionate about vocational education and enjoys supporting students, job seekers and existing workers to develop the skills and knowledge required for rewarding careers in the community services, disability and aged care sectors.

You will deliver engaging, practical and industry-relevant training and assessment in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications You May Deliver

- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
- CHC32015 Diploma of Community Services
- Relevant Community Services, Disability, Ageing Support or related units of competency.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality classroom, workplace and practical training.
- Conduct competency-based assessments in accordance with RTO requirements.
- Support students to achieve their training and employment goals.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to learners.
- Develop and adapt training resources and assessment materials.
- Conduct workplace observations and assessments where required.




- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
- Ensure training and assessment practices comply with the Standards for RTOs.
- Build positive relationships with students, employers and industry partners.
- Keep industry knowledge and vocational competency current.

About You

- A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or an accepted equivalent.
- Relevant vocational qualifications in Individual Support, Community Services, Ageing Support, Disability or a related field.
- Current and relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering nationally recognised training and assessment.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong understanding of competency-based assessment and VET compliance.
- A commitment to providing high-quality student support.
- Experience working in aged care, disability, community services, mental health or other relevant sectors will be highly regarded.
