About the Role
n
Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to completion.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Managing subcontract procurement and contract administration
n
- Preparing subcontract agreements and purchase orders
n
- Cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting
n
- Processing progress claims and subcontractor payments
n
- Managing variations and Extension of Time (EOT) claims
n
- Monitoring project budgets and financial performance
n
- Maintaining contract and procurement registers
n
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
n
- Assisting with project delivery and commercial outcomes
n
- Coordinating final accounts and project close-out documentation
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction.
n
- Experience working for a Tier 1 builder will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with experience working for Tier 2 builders or reputable commercial construction companies.
n
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Strong understanding of Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and local construction practices.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland building codes, construction methodologies and compliance requirements.
n
- Experience with procurement, contract administration, cost control, forecasting, variations and EOTs.
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
n
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
n
- Experience using Jobpac, Procore, Cheops or similar construction management software is advantageous.
n
n
