About the role

n

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at our Yatala, QLD facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing daily workshop operations and ensuring the efficient, safe and quality production of our shading products. You will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Workshop Supervisor acts as a key link between management and production teams, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and manage workshop staff, including scheduling, task allocation and performance management
n
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure targets are met and quality standards are maintained
n
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce workplace health and safety protocols
n
- Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and arrange repairs or replacements as required
n
- Train and develop team members in production techniques, safety procedures and company standards
n




- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
n
- Maintain accurate production records and report on key performance metrics
n
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion
n
- Address and resolve workplace issues promptly and professionally
n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies
n

- Proven supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment
n
- Experience on the tools
n
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
n
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
n
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure
n
- Physical capability to work in a workshop environment and perform manual tasks
n
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in supervision, management or workplace health and safety are highly desirable
