We are a growing business and are seeking an additional analyst to join our team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

About the role

This is a support analyst role, and it is a senior one.

You will work alongside our senior agribusiness managers, doing the analysis and credit work that sits behind rural lending submissions. You will not carry a portfolio, you will not have a sales target, and you will not be managing client relationships. The analysis is the job.

If you have spent years as an agribusiness analyst or in agri credit — supporting agribusiness managers, building the numbers, writing the submissions — this will be familiar work in an unfamiliar setting: from home, without a branch.

What you will do

- Analyse client financial information — historical financials, forward cash flow budgets, statements of position, tax returns and verification documents.

- Build multi-year agricultural cash flow models from primary source documents.

- Complete servicing and serviceability modelling, and assess equity, security and structure.

- Prepare credit submissions and credit memorandums to a standard that stands up to a credit team's scrutiny.

- Form a view on which lenders suit a transaction, and why.

- Exercise pricing-versus-approval judgement — knowing when to push a lender on price, and when securing the approval is the win.

- Support files through lodgement, conditional approval, formal approval and settlement.

- Verify figures against source before relying on them,



including figures prepared by others.

- Keep your work transferable: a colleague opening your file should be able to see what is done, what is next, and what is holding it up.

What you will bring

We are looking for a long history in this work, not a promising start.

- 10 or more years in banking or finance, with a substantial runin agribusiness or rural credit and analysis.

- A background as an agribusiness analyst, agri credit analyst, business analyst in a regional and agribusiness team, or agribusiness associate — supporting senior agribusiness or rural managers.

- The ability to build an agricultural cash flow and write a credit submission unsupervised, from day one, on a complex multi-entity farming business.

- A working knowledge of Australian lending policy, security, equity and servicing assessment.

- The ability to read a set of farm financials and form your own view of the business behind them.

- Willingness to raise a priority conflict or a capacity limit early. We ask this of everyone, and it will never count against the person who does it.

Formal qualifications are welcome but not required. What matters is what you have actually done.
