A rare opportunity in specialist endodontics

Positions at North Western Endodontics don’t come up often. We are a well-established specialist endodontic practice that has been caring for patients from the same Moonee Ponds location for more than 30 years, and we are now looking for a high-calibre Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team.

This is a casual role working Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, available for an immediate start, with a genuine view to transitioning into a permanent part-time position in 2027 for the right person. About the role

As our Dental Assistant, you will:

• Provide chairside assistance across a full range of endodontic procedures, including microscope-assisted root canal treatment and surgical cases

• Prepare and set up surgeries and instrumentation for each patient

• Maintain infection control, sterilisation and instrument reprocessing to the highest standard

• Help our patients feel calm, informed and well cared for from arrival to departure

• Support the team with general surgery and stock management duties

About you

We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly and wants to build a career, not just fill a roster. You will have:

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred)

• The ability to work as part of a team, with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude

• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellent infection control

• A calm, warm manner with patients, many of whom are anxious when they arrive

• Reliability and availability to work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

• A genuine desire to specialise and grow into a long-term position with us

Experience in a specialist or endodontic practice is welcome but not required. What matters most is your attitude, your standards and your commitment to learning.
