About the role

This is a varied position involving both mail and parcel delivery by motorbike and customer service/retail work inside the post office.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver letters, parcels and mail safely and efficiently by motorbike

- Sort and organise mail for delivery

- Provide friendly and professional customer service

- Serve customers at the post-office counter

- Process postage, parcels, payments and other postal services

- Assist with retail sales and stock

- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming workplace

- Follow all road, workplace and postal safety requirements

About you

- Reliable, punctual and responsible

- Friendly and confident when dealing with customers

- Comfortable riding a motorbike/scooter

- A safe and careful rider with a valid motorcycle licence

- Physically capable of handling mail and parcels

- Well organised and able to work independently

- Comfortable using computers and handling basic transactions

- Available to work flexible part time hours

- Previous postal, delivery, retail or customer-service experience is an advantage, but training will be provided for the right person
