About the role
We're looking for an experienced horticulturalist to help lead our team and support business growth.
As our Team leader, you’ll combine hands-on horticultural work with team leadership and day-to-day operations. Working closely with the owner, you’ll help maintain high standards across premium properties and build strong client relationships.
Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:
- Lead, supervise and mentor the gardening team to build a positive, high-performing culture
- Deliver high-quality garden maintenance across premium properties, including hedging, topiary pruning, mowing, planting, weeding and basic irrigation repairs
- Work closely with the owner to improve operations, identify growth opportunities and support business development
- Prepare quotes, build strong client relationships, and provide skilled advice and recommendations
- Maintain high standards of presentation, safety and quality across all jobs
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in professional gardening or landscaping, with 1–2 years’ experience leading or supervising a team
- Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident - sponsorship options not available
- Strong horticultural knowledge, including plant identification, pest and disease management, irrigation and turf maintenance
- A proactive, business-minded attitude with a positive, practical and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication, client service skills and high attention to detail
- Formal qualifications in Horticulture or Landscape Construction are highly regarded, and a valid Australian driver’s licence is required
