About the role

Sutton Estate Co Pty Ltd is seeking a Fun Recreation Host to join our team on a casual basis at our Pokolbin location in NSW. This role is pivotal in creating memorable guest experiences and ensuring our recreation facilities operate smoothly and professionally. As a Recreation Host, you will be the friendly face of our hospitality offering, welcoming guests, facilitating activities and creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and enjoyment. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for outstanding guest service and making each visitor feel valued and well-cared-for.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at recreation facilities and activities

- Providing comprehensive information about available recreational activities, facilities, amenities and bookings

- Assisting guests with check-ins and managing activity reservations and registrations

- Facilitating recreational activities and entertainment programmes, ensuring guests are engaged and entertained

- Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming recreation environment, including setting up and tidying spaces as required

- Responding promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests and complaints

- Operating recreation equipment and facilities in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines

- Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction

- Recording activity attendance and participation data accurately

- Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards relevant to the hospitality and recreation industry

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a guest-facing or hospitality role, preferably within recreation, leisure or tourism settings

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests of all ages and backgrounds

- Solid organisational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously





- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene

- Flexibility to work casual hours, including weekends.

- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it is preferred
