AI Visibility Engineer
Search is changing. Help us figure out what actually works.
When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity about a brand, what makes it show up, and what makes it worth citing?
That’s what we’re building CiteHawk to uncover. We measure how brands appear in AI answers and put receipts behind every number. We’re a small Australian team shipping daily, working in a field where the playbook is still being written.
We’re looking for someone who wants to help write it, with real campaigns, real results and evidence to back them up.
The role
You’ll be our first AI Visibility Engineer in residence, running campaigns for a small portfolio of brands using CiteHawk from start to finish.
This is a hands-on practitioner role. You’ll investigate how AI models describe brands, make changes, measure what happens and turn the findings into case studies people can learn from.
You’ll also work directly with the founders. When something in CiteHawk helps, frustrates you or leaves you thinking “why doesn’t this exist yet?”, we want to hear it. Your work will help shape both the product and how this discipline gets done.
What you’ll do
- Run GEO campaigns for 2 to 4 brands. Audit their visibility, find the gaps in content, entities, sources and structure, then make changes and track the results.
- Put CiteHawk through its paces. Use it daily and give us candid feedback that goes straight into product discussions.
- Show your working. Publish one case study a month featuring a client brand, plus practical guides grounded in what you’ve actually tried and learned.
- Keep our research useful. Bring a practitioner’s eye to our public research and tools before they ship.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience,
with results you can point to, and curiosity about how AI models decide what to say and cite.
- Some practical exploration of GEO/AEO. You don’t need to have every answer. You should have moved beyond reading about it and started testing.
- Transparent writing. Your case studies will carry your name, so you’ll enjoy explaining what changed, why it matters and what the evidence supports.
- An appetite for measurable results. Success means stronger visibility across your portfolio and useful work published.
- At least one real site or client you can work with. We’ll bring brands to the portfolio too.
How we’ll work
- Part-time to start: 2 to 3 days a week, transitioning to full-time.
- Location: Hybrid office + work from home/remote flexibility (office based in Attadale, Perth)
- Room to grow: this is our first role of its kind. You’ll help define the practice, share what works publicly and shape what the role becomes.
How to apply
Show us how you think.
Open our AI Index and choose the category closest to a brand or project you’ve worked on. Then email ••••@citehawk.com with:
1. Why does #1 win? Based on the board and its underlying answers, which sources and citations appear to be doing the work?
2. How would you help a brand outside the top three move up? Tell us what you’d change, which metric you’d expect to move (mention rate, citations or ranking in a named AI model), and how soon you’d expect to see a result.
3. What work are you proud of? Share links to any SEO or GEO (AI Search) projects and tell us why?
4. Your resume + cover letter (optional)
We’re interested in sharp observations, practical ideas and a clear distinction between what the evidence shows and what you’d test next.
