About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatrician to join Grow Medical Group on a full-time basis in our Banksia Grove, WA practice. This is an excellent opportunity to provide specialist paediatric care to children and young people within our community, whilst working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team. As a Paediatrician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse range of acute and chronic conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health and development of young patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting comprehensive paediatric assessments and clinical examinations of patients from infancy through to adolescence

- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic paediatric conditions, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, infectious, and developmental disorders

- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs and family circumstances

- Ordering, interpreting, and acting upon diagnostic investigations and test results

- Providing specialist consultation and advice to general practitioners, allied health professionals, and other healthcare providers

- Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with professional and legal standards

- Building strong, trusting relationships with patients and families, ensuring clear communication about diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses

- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as required to optimise clinical outcomes

- Participating in continuing professional development and keeping up to date with current evidence-based paediatric practice





- Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment within the practice

What we're looking for

- Medical degree and full registration with the Australian Medical Board as a Paediatrician

- Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) in Paediatrics or equivalent recognised qualification

- Current and valid professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the role

- Working With Children Check clearance (or willingness to obtain this)

- Proven clinical experience in providing paediatric healthcare in a community or primary care setting

- Strong clinical knowledge of common paediatric conditions and their management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to families in a clear and compassionate manner

- Robust organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload

- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development

- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare providers

- A patient-centred approach, with empathy and cultural sensitivity
