About the Role

Are you a nursing student wanting to develop practical healthcare skills while studying?

Or are you a disability support worker interested in gaining experience with complex and high-intensity care?

Lifestyle Max is a nurse-led NDIS provider seeking reliable and enthusiastic support workers to join an established team supporting a young adult male participant with complex physical and healthcare needs.

This is a community-based role supporting the participant in his home and during community access. The focus is providing safe, consistent daily living and high-intensity supports under clear clinical guidance.

Previous experience with complex disability or healthcare needs would be beneficial; however, training can be provided to the right candidate who has a positive attitude, is reliable and genuinely willing to learn.

What You Will Be Doing

• Personal care and daily living support
• PEG feeding and enteral nutrition
• Medication support under documented procedures
• Seizure monitoring and response
• Respiratory support, including oral suctioning
• Assisting with wound care under clinical guidance
• Pressure care, repositioning and mobility assistance
• Continence care
• Monitoring health changes and escalating concerns
• Supporting daily routines and community access
• Completing accurate progress notes and documentation

The participant also enjoys outings, walks and spending time outdoors. Someone with an interest in outdoor activities such as fishing, camping or sports, who can suggest and help plan enjoyable outings, would be a great fit.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Calm, reliable and professional
• Friendly, outgoing and able to build a genuine rapport
• Interested in developing practical healthcare skills
• Willing to learn and follow detailed care plans
• Observant and able to recognise and report health changes
• Confident communicating with family,



staff and the clinical team
• Interested in outdoor activities and community outings
• Flexible with availability and willing to become part of a regular team

Essential Criteria - One Required

• Currently studying Nursing (EN or RN)
• AIN with healthcare experience
• Certificate III or IV in Disability or Individual Support
• Previous disability support or healthcare experience

Nursing students are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full participant-specific training will be provided.

Mandatory Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid, CPR & Manual Handling Certificate
• Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Full working rights in Australia

Shift Availability

• Morning shifts
• Afternoon and evening shifts
• Active night shifts
• Weekend shifts

Flexible availability and willingness to work across different shift types will be highly regarded.
