About the role

SD Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Perth, WA 6017. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. You will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, community participation and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

- Provide personal care and support, including assistance with daily living, mobility, hygiene and grooming.
- Support clients to access community activities, social events and recreational opportunities.
- Assist with meal preparation, shopping and household tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided, client progress and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families and the broader support team.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and other activities.
- Help clients develop life skills and achieve their individual goals.
- Follow person-centred support plans and respond appropriately to changing needs.
- Maintain a safe setting and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Report safeguarding concerns and incidents in accordance with organisational policies.





About you

- A genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities and delivering person-centred care.
- Previous experience in disability support, aged care or a related community services role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role, with reasonable adjustments where appropriate.
- Reliability, punctuality and effective time management.
- Flexibility to respond to individual client needs.
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- A current Working with Children Check, where required for the role, or willingness to obtain one.
- A current driver's licence and reliable access to transport.
- Commitment to confidentiality, dignity and professional boundaries.
