Southwest Endodontics is a small specialist endodontic practice in West Busselton, and we are looking for an experienced Dental Nurse / Dental Assistant to join our friendly team.
We are looking for a good, experienced dental assistant who is organised, confident in their skills, cares about patients and enjoys being part of a small team.
The position is ideally four days per week, Monday to Thursday. We are also happy to consider a two-day-per-week job-share arrangement for two suitable applicants who would together cover the four-day position.
About the role
You will provide chairside assistance and support the day-to-day clinical running of the practice.
The role includes:
- Chairside dental assisting
- Preparing surgeries and equipment
- Assisting with endodontic procedures
- Instrument preparation, cleaning and sterilisation
- Maintaining high standards of infection control
- Supporting patient flow throughout the day
- Talking with and reassuring patients
- Maintaining clinical stock and ordering stores
- Keeping surgeries and clinical areas organised
- General clinical support as required
You will be given training in our specific procedures and systems.

Leave and flexibility
We close for a period over Christmas, with two weeks of annual leave taken during the Christmas closure. The remaining annual leave can generally be taken at times that suit you.
We also regularly take additional practice closure periods throughout the year. When these occur, staff have the option of taking additional leave if they would like to.
Hours
Position: Permanent part-time
Days: Monday to Thursday
Hours: Approximately 7:15am – 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday
Our clinical day starts early, with the first patient at 7:30am, so the ability to start at approximately 7:15am is important.
We generally finish around 4:00pm and rarely run late.
There are no Friday, weekend or late-night shifts.
A two-day-per-week job-share arrangement may also be considered for two suitable applicants who would together cover the Monday–Thursday position.

Remuneration: Commensurate with experience
