About the role

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will be actively involved in all stages of electrical work across new residential and commercial construction projects. You will assist with the installation of conduits, wiring, switchboards, power points, lighting, data points and appliances. You will gain exposure to real world tasks such as cable pulling, mounting electrical fittings, drilling and using power tools, while learning how to read basic electrical plans and mark out locations for installations. You will also support the team in performing compliance testing, fault finding and basic maintenance work. This role is ideal for someone ready to commit to a trade career and willing to learn hands on through consistent work on live construction sites while attending trade school to complete their Certificate III in Electrotechnology.

Key responsibilities

- Support qualified electricians in residential and commercial electrical installations.

- Participate in all stages of construction.

- Gain practical experience in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs.

- Operate electrical tools and equipment safely and effectively.

- Adhere to safety guidelines and company OH&S; procedures.

- Attend required trade school classes to complete Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.





- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and training progress.

- Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.

- Provide support and assistance to fellow team members as required, contributing to a cohesive team workplace.

About you

- Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in the electrical trade.

- Reliable with a solid emphasis on safety.

- Ability to understand and follow instructions carefully.

- Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team.

- Reliable transportation and valid driver's licence.

- Construction Induction Card (White Card).

- Physical capability to safely perform tasks such as lifting equipment, working at heights, climbing ladders and undertaking manual labor involved in electrical installations and maintenance.

- Positive can do attitude.

- Confidence and a passion for learning the trade.

- Attention to detail on the tools, as well as good grammar for report writing.
