About the role

Heems Gardening PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and dedicated Gardener to join our team on a full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your horticultural expertise to a growing gardening and landscaping business. Based in Stirling, SA 5152, you will be at the heart of delivering high-quality garden maintenance and landscaping services to our valued clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring client satisfaction through professional, meticulous garden care.

What you'll be doing

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

- Performing routine garden maintenance tasks including lawn mowing, edging, and grass cutting to professional standards

- Pruning, trimming and shaping trees, hedges and shrubs to maintain aesthetic appeal and plant health

- Planting flowers, trees, shrubs and other vegetation according to client specifications and design plans

- Weeding garden beds and removing unwanted vegetation to maintain clean and tidy garden spaces

- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and machinery safely and effectively

- Preparing soil and applying fertilisers, mulches and other treatments to promote healthy plant growth

- Clearing leaves, debris and garden waste, and disposing of materials responsibly

- Liaising with clients to understand their gardening needs and preferences

- Maintaining a professional appearance and ensuring work sites are left clean and organised

- Adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices in all gardening activities

What we're looking for

To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Proven experience as a Gardener or in a similar gardening and landscaping role, ideally within a professional setting

- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs and flowers, including their care requirements and seasonal management

- Proficiency in operating standard gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers,



leaf blowers and chainsaws

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks throughout the working day

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results

- A valid driver's license and reliable transport to travel between client locations

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with clients and team members

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to gardening and landscaping work

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Relevant qualifications such as a Horticulture Certificate or similar horticultural training would be advantageous
