About Us
Canberra Region Neurology and Pain Centre is an ACHS-accredited specialist neurology practice and day hospital operating across Phillip and Bruce, ACT. We provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services across the full spectrum of neurology, neurosurgery and pain medicine, supported by on-site neurophysiology services. We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Clinical Neurophysiology, with positions available at both experienced and trainee levels.
About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality Clinical Neurophysiology service, working closely with clinicians to ensure timely and accurate results.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing routine and specialised EEG investigations
- Performing Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)
- Preparing patients and explaining procedures in a professional and reassuring manner
- Acquiring, reviewing and maintaining high-quality neurophysiological recordings
- Recognising and appropriately escalating significant or unexpected findings
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring investigations are performed in accordance with relevant standards and protocols
- Working collaboratively with medical and scientific colleagues
- Contributing to quality improvement, education and service development
About You
For the experienced position:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in Clinical Neurophysiology
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in EEG and/or NCS
- A strong understanding of patient care, clinical governance and professional standards
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Registration, or eligibility to register, with the Association of Neurophysiology Scientists of Australia Inc. (ANSA)
For the trainee position:
- A completed Bachelor's degree in Medical Science, Biomedical Science, Science or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in developing a career in neurophysiology
- Sound scientific and technical aptitude, with enthusiasm for learning practical clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An organised, reliable approach and a commitment to high-quality patient care
- Eligibility for, or willingness to work toward, registration with ANSA
