About the role

Grow Medical Group is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist — child or adult — to join the team in a face-to-face capacity at the Banksia Grove clinic, either full time or part-time. You will assess and manage low-risk ADHD and general mental health patients within a well-established, structured shared care model. This role offers the opportunity to step into a significant existing patient base, supported by streamlined internal referral pathways that reduce administrative burden and allow focus on clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct psychiatric assessments and ongoing management for low-risk ADHD and general mental health patients

- Provide pharmacotherapy review and initiation within established clinical protocols

- Collaborate within the GP-led shared care model, transitioning stabilised patients back to their regular GP under formal shared-care arrangements

- Support ADHD-trained GPs through internal referral pathways and secondary consultation

- Liaise with psychologists, nurse practitioners, and allied health staff to deliver integrated care plans

- Coordinate with public health and community health services for co-managed patients

- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with practice and regulatory standards

- Contribute to a culture of evidence-based, patient-centred care

About you

- Specialist registration as a Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)





- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or recognised equivalent

- Current unrestricted right to practise in Australia

- Demonstrated experience in adult and/or paediatric ADHD and general mental health management

- Commitment to cooperative, shared care within a multidisciplinary setting

- Experience working within GP-led or primary care mental health models (preferred)

- Familiarity with structured referral pathways and co-management with community services (preferred)

- Interest in neurodevelopmental conditions and complex presentations (preferred)
