You'll be operating a range of machinery, including 1.7T – 8T excavators, Skid steer / Posi track, and other earthmoving equipment as required. The role involves everything from digging footings in tight access areas to cutting building pads, trimming levels and pushing out sand on residential earthworks projects.
Key responsibilities
Digging house and retaining wall footings
Excavation in tight residential areas
Bulk excavation and site cuts
Cutting and trimming residential building pads
Loading trucks and managing spoil
Sand spreading and pushing with a Posi/Skid Steer
Backfilling and compaction
Final trimming and preparation
Working from plans, levels and site set-outs
Working around existing structures, services and other trades
About you
Strong experience operating 1.7T–8T excavators
Valuable experience on a Skid Steer / Posi Track
Experience in residential earthworks
The ability to work confidently in tight access and confined residential sites
A solid understanding of levels, grades and finished surfaces
Finesse and attention to detail
The ability to dig accurately without damaging surrounding structures or services
Pride in producing a clean, quality job
The ability to work independently while communicating well with supervisors and the rest of the crew
