About the role

As a Quality Assurance Assistant your role is to ensure that all quality systems and food safety standards are strictly adhered to across our multiple manufacturing sites. You will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and the broader production team to maintain compliance, improve processes, and support the implementation of quality control measures. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining data integrity in the Fishbowl inventory management system and ensuring the accurate and timely closure of Manufacturing Orders (MOs).

Key responsibilities
Assist in the daily management and implementation of the company's quality assurance and food safety programs across all manufacturing sites.
Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal standards, HACCP, and other food safety regulations.
Monitor production processes to ensure that all products meet company and regulatory standards for safety, quality, and consistency.
Participate in internal audits and third-party certifications to ensure ongoing compliance with food safety requirements.
Ensure all quality-related documentation, including checklists, reports, and corrective action records, are properly maintained and up to date.




Support in the investigation and resolution of non-conformance issues, including assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Assist with the training of staff on quality systems, food safety, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure that the Fishbowl inventory management system is maintained with accurate and up-to-date information, ensuring data integrity.
Work closely with the production team to ensure that quality and food safety requirements are met at every stage of the manufacturing process.

About you
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and report on quality issues effectively.
Valuable organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with inventory management software.
A diploma in food science, quality management, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work well within a team and in a fast-paced, agile manufacturing environment.
Solid commitment to upholding quality standards and food safety regulations.
