You know precast - you’ve spent years working around it. Maybe you’ve been on the tools, worked your way into a leading hand, supervisor or operations role, or spent most of your career in a precast yard.
You can pick up a shop drawing and actually understand what you’re looking at. You know how precast gets made, what works in the real world, what causes problems and what questions need to be asked before something gets anywhere near production.
The problem is, you don’t necessarily want to keep doing the physical side forever. Maybe your body is starting to tell you it’s time to get off the tools. Maybe you’re over being out in the yard every day. But you’re definitely not ready to retire, and you don’t want to walk away from an industry you know inside & out.
This could be the perfect next step.
This role is Bid & Tender Coordinator for Novus, a growing family-owned precast business working across residential, commercial, government & infrastructure projects.
It’s an office-based role where your years of practical precast knowledge suddenly become your biggest asset.
You’ll work through plans, shop drawings, contracts and project documentation before jobs are priced. You’ll identify what’s missing, spot potential issues,
compare information and ask the questions that someone without your industry experience simply wouldn’t know to ask.
You don’t need to be a polished corporate tender writer - in fact, we’d much rather someone who genuinely understands precast.
Someone who has spent years reading shop drawings, understands production & operations and can look at a job and know what they’re actually dealing with.
There’s a process to follow and systems you can learn. What’s much harder to teach is the technical knowledge sitting in your head after years in the industry.
This role is incredibly significant - The work you’ll do helps make sure projects are understood properly before they’re priced, protecting the business from mistakes and giving the wider team the information they need to do their jobs properly.
It is a reliable, growing business with valuable people and management who genuinely care about their staff. It’s somewhere you can take everything you’ve learnt throughout your career and put it to use in a completely different way.
If you’ve spent years in precast and you’re ready to get off the tools without throwing away everything you know, we’d love to hear from you.
