We are looking for courteous, customer-focused Deli Assistants who are committed to providing customers with the best service possible.

As a Deli Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving a wide range of delicatessen items including sliced meats, cheeses, antipasto, and other gourmet goods. You'll work closely with your team to ensure the deli is well-stocked, clean, and running smoothly throughout the day, while delivering outstanding service to every customer.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for fresh food, excellent attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivering friendly and knowledgeable customer service at the deli counter
Slicing, cutting, and grating a range of smallgoods and cheeses to order
Preparing and packaging deli products for display and sale
Ensuring product displays are visually appealing, clean, and well-stocked
Assisting with stock rotation, labelling, and checking use-by dates




Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all food prep areas
Operating deli equipment safely and efficiently (slicers, graters, scales, etc.)
Following all food safety, handling, and OH&S; procedures
Working as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive work workplace

What We’re Looking For:
Previous deli or supermarket experience preferred
Robust customer service and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Adaptable availability between the hours of 8am and 6pm including weekends
