Seoul Garden is an established Korean BBQ and hotpot restaurant offering a fresh and creative interpretation of traditional Korean cuisine. Our Doncaster restaurant operates in a busy, high-volume dining environment and serves a broad selection of Korean BBQ, hotpot and buffet dishes.

The prospect

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. You will help plan, prepare and deliver consistent, high-quality food while maintaining strong food safety, stock control and kitchen operating standards.

Key responsibilities

· Plan and coordinate daily food preparation and cooking for Korean BBQ, hotpot and buffet services.

· Prepare and cook meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, marinades, sauces, hotpot stocks, side dishes and other menu items.

· Monitor the freshness,



quality and presentation of food throughout preparation, cooking and buffet service.

· Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, portion standards and food costing.

· Estimate food requirements based on bookings and customer demand, and coordinate ordering, receiving and stock control.

· Organise kitchen workflow and ensure timely preparation and replenishment during busy service periods.

· Maintain portion consistency, control ingredient usage and minimise food waste.

· Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, allergen management and temperature-control requirements.

· Liaise with restaurant management, kitchen staff and front-of-house staff regarding service requirements and food preparation issues.

· Demonstrate cooking techniques and assist with training and supervising cooks and junior kitchen staff.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
