ROLE – Senior HVAC Engineer

SALARY - $130,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Sydney, NSW

My client is an established engineering business delivering specialist HVAC and mechanical engineering solutions across a range of projects. They are looking for a Senior HVAC Engineer to join their team in Sydney on a permanent basis.

The Senior HVAC Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
At least 5 years of experience in a similar HVAC or Mechanical Engineering position
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Solid experience with HVAC mechanical design and engineering
Previous experience working across commercial, industrial or building services projects
Experience conducting site investigations and assessing existing HVAC systems
Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment and mechanical services
Good understanding of relevant Australian standards, regulations and building codes
Experience working with contractors and construction teams
Solid practical understanding of HVAC installation, testing and commissioning
Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets




Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Senior HVAC Engineer role will involve:
Undertaking mechanical HVAC design and producing detailed engineering documentation
Conducting site investigations and assessing existing mechanical systems
Developing HVAC solutions from concept through to detailed design
Preparing technical specifications, drawings and engineering reports
Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders
Providing engineering support throughout the construction phase
Reviewing drawings, technical documentation and contractor submissions
Attending project sites to monitor installation and resolve technical issues
Managing testing, balancing, commissioning and handover of HVAC systems
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards and specifications
Working in a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of projects
