We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established industrial business in local Mackay.

This is a excellent opportunity for a fitter who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and wants the prospect to earn well through consistent overtime.

You'll be working across maintenance, repair, overhaul and rebuild of heavy mechanical equipment and components, with strong experience working on pumps and gearboxes essential.

The role

You'll be carrying out mechanical fitting, maintenance, repairs and overhauls across industrial equipment and components.

Work will include:
Pumps and gearboxes
Mechanical drives and rotating equipment
Component changeout
Fault finding
Strip-down, inspection,



repair and rebuild work

What we're looking for

You'll need:
Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
Previous pump and gearbox experience – essential
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
Experience with industrial equipment
Ability to strip, inspect and rebuild mechanical components
A good attitude towards safety and quality
Willingness to work overtime

Experience within heavy industry, mining equipment, materials handling, manufacturing, fixed plant or similar environments will be highly regarded.
