An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Officer (AP and AR) to join a successful and growing business operating nationally with 2 locations in Sydney.
This role offers a fantastic blend of high-volume, complex Accounts Payable responsibilities alongside customer-focused Accounts Receivable and collections duties. You'll join a collaborative finance team, working alongside a large AP function and a smaller AR team, providing plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your skills. Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end processing of high-volume supplier invoices
Managing complex invoice queries and discrepancies
Supplier statement reconciliations
Liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues
Supporting payment runs and maintaining accurate records
Chasing outstanding debts and managing collections
Building strong relationships with customers over the phone and via email
Investigating and resolving account queries
Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
Supporting credit control processes
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a combined AP/AR or Accounts Officer position
Strong Accounts Payable experience,
ideally within a high-volume setting
Confidence handling collections and debt recovery conversations
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience using ERP systems, with exposure to Concur and/or Business Central highly regarded
Robust attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Team-oriented approach with a positive, can-do attitude
