Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for reliable, ongoing work with a respected steel-manufacturing team?
We are seeking a reliable and safety focused Machine Operator to process reo bar and reinforcing steel. This is an excellent opportunity
for someone with experience in machine operation, steel manufacturing, metal processing, or a similar production environment.
The machinery operates using preset programs, so programming experience is not required. Site specific training will be provided to an experienced operator.
The role
Operate machinery used to process and prepare reo bar
Set up, monitor and safely run pre-programmed machines
Load and unload steel products
Measure and check finished products for accuracy and quality
Identify basic machine or production issues
Complete manual handling and general production duties
Follow workplace safety procedures and production schedules
Maintain a clean and organised work area
What you’ll bring
Previous machine operating experience is essential
Experience within steel, metal, manufacturing, or production is highly regarded
A strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working around machinery
The physical fitness required to safely handle steel products
A reliable work history and a positive, hands-on attitude
Strong attention to quality and workplace safety
The ability to work independently and within a team
Reliable transport
