Bloom Potts Point is seeking a full-time Chef to join our kitchen team.

The role involves preparing and cooking dishes to our established standards, organising daily preparation, managing a section during service, and helping maintain consistency across restaurant service, private functions and pasta classes.

Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and cooking menu items, including fresh pasta, sauces, antipasti and other Italian-inspired dishes
Organising and managing daily preparation for assigned sections
Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion control
Assisting with menu planning and development
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation
Minimising food waste and maintaining productive kitchen practices




Preparing and coordinating food for private functions and group events
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
Supporting and training junior kitchen staff where required
Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service

The successful applicant will have previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen, solid organisational and service skills, and the ability to work confidently within a small qualified team. Experience with Italian cuisine and fresh pasta is highly regarded.

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
