About the role

Join the kitchen team at Coogee Diggers and help deliver a quality breakfast and café dining experience. Working alongside the kitchen team, you'll play an important role in delivering consistently high-quality food across breakfast, brunch and café service, while helping create an enjoyable experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook a range of breakfast, brunch and café-style dishes
Work across breakfast and daytime café service
Prepare dishes including eggs, bacon, breakfast plates, toast, sandwiches, burgers, salads and other café menu items
Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen set-up
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control
Work efficiently during busy breakfast and café service periods
Follow recipes, menu specifications and kitchen procedures
Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
Assist with stock control and minimising food wastage
Ensure food is prepared and stored correctly in accordance with food safety requirements

About you
Previous experience working as a Cook in a café, restaurant, club or commercial kitchen




Experience with breakfast and café-style food
Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
Experience cooking eggs, breakfast items, grill items and café dishes
Ability to work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods
Solid attention to detail and pride in food presentation
Good communication and teamwork skills
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team
Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
Availability to work mornings, weekends and public holidays as required

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
