HVT is a family-owned business predominately servicing the Mining and Oil & Gas industries and offer comprehensive engineering, machining, metal spray/thermal spray and welding solutions.

The Position

Due to continued growth, we require a Trades Assistant with a high level of maturity and experience in a workshop workplace to join our sandblasting and metal spray team.

Duties to include but not limited to:
Sandblasting components in accordance with preparation specifications
Learn Thermal Arc Spray Process
Learn the HVOF metal spray process with full training provided
Forklift Duties
Maintain and clean equipment and workspace
Be able to work within a small team and carry out duties as required
Maintain a safe working setting in accordance with WH&S; compliance.

Skills and Experience




Previous experience sandblasting is an advantage
Must have a valid forklift license
Current valid drivers license
Good communication skills
Previous experience in a Metal workshop setting would be an advantage

While experience would be advantageous, we are willing to train the right candidate.

A competitive rate will be offered based on skill level and experience plus 11.5% Super on all hours worked.

The position is full time Monday - Friday with some Saturday work as required.

You must be able to pass a medical and drug & alcohol test if requested.
