About the role

This is a consultative sales role focused on helping customers solve real-world mobility and communications challenges in hazardous and industrial environments. You will work directly with end users to understand their operational requirements, identify prospects and recommend the right technology solutions. You will then work with our distribution and solution partners to deliver and implement those solutions.

Key responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with industrial and hazardous-area end users
Identify current prospects and develop existing accounts across the territory
Understand customer operational, safety and mobility requirements
Recommend appropriate rugged, intrinsically safe and industrial technology solutions
Work with engineering, operations, IT and HSE stakeholders to develop solutions
Conduct customer meetings, site visits, demonstrations and technical presentations




Develop opportunities from initial enquiry through to commercial outcome
Work closely with distributors, resellers and solution partners to execute projects
Build a strong pipeline and take ownership of territory performance
Develop long-term customer relationships based on technical credibility and trust

About you

Ideally you will have experience in some of the following fields:
Background in industrial or technical sales
Background in telecommunications. radio communications or critical communications
Background in rugged or specialised mobile technology
Background in electrical, instrumentation or engineering
Background in oil & gas, coal mining, chemical production or manufacturing
Background in hazardous area equipment
Background in industrial technology or automation
Experience with IECEx, ANZEx, hazardous areas or intrinsically protected equipment highly regarded
Ability to understand a customer's needs and challenges
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
