About the role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Como GP and work closely with our Practice Directors, doctors, nurses and administration team.

Key responsibilities
Providing overall leadership, supervision and management of the practice
Supporting a positive, collaborative and skilled workplace culture
Driving continuous quality improvement across the practice
Developing, reviewing and maintaining practice policies and procedures
Coordinating medical, clinical and stationery supplies
Managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance appraisals and conflict resolution
Preparing and overseeing staff rosters
Coordinating and chairing staff and clinical meetings
Overseeing financial management, including budgets, payroll, financial planning, accounts and debt recovery
Working closely with the external bookkeeper to oversee accounts and financial reporting

About you
Has previous experience in Practice Management
Is available full time or part-time, with a minimum of three days per week
Is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of their role




Has demonstrated experience managing staff, including recruitment, performance management and conflict resolution
Has a sound understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), Practice Incentives Program (PIP), Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) and PIP Quality Improvement Incentive (PIP QI)
Has solid computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Holds a current C Class driver's license
Communicates confidently and professionally with doctors, staff, patients and external providers
Enjoys identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall running of a practice
