Your new role
As a Paste Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient operation of the paste fill plant, ensuring paste is produced and delivered to specification in support of underground mining activities.
Operating and monitoring paste plant equipment and control systems
Managing thickening, mixing, and pumping processes
Conducting routine inspections and plant checks
Monitoring paste density, flow rates, and quality parameters
Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating where required
Completing production and operational reports
Maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental compliance
Working collaboratively with processing and underground mining teams
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience operating a Paste Fill Plant
Sound understanding of thickening,
slurry handling, pumping, and dewatering systems
Experience using SCADA or DCS control systems
Robust commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to identify and resolve plant operational issues
Current C Class Driving Licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work a FIFO roster, including day and night shifts
