Die Setter

$35+ per hour | Casual Ongoing | Monday to Friday

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative building products and engineered solutions for the construction industry, providing high-quality structural components and building systems to the Australian construction sector.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Die Setter to join their busy manufacturing and production team in Dandenong South.

The Role

As a Die Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing production machinery and tooling to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to specification.

Your duties will include:
Setting up and changing over dies and tooling on production machinery
Installing, removing and positioning dies correctly
Adjusting machine settings to ensure efficient production
Setting machines to produce products to required specifications
Conducting first-off and quality checks
Monitoring production and making adjustments where required
Identifying and resolving basic machine and tooling issues
Checking products for defects, quality and sharp edges
Assisting with production and general manufacturing duties when required
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About You





To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Setter, Tool Setter or Machine Setter
Experience working with dies, tooling and production machinery
Manufacturing or metal production experience
Ability to read and follow production instructions and basic drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail and quality
Physically fit and comfortable working in a production setting
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Robust commitment to workplace safety
